Silver-Line SL8L Drum Floor Sander The Silver-Line SL-8L is the leader in rental sanders for one reason...it works! The SL-8L will enable the DIYer to achieve professional results the first time they sand a floor. This is due to the ability of the machine to maintain the slow constant speed of 1800 rpm, which prevents gouging of floors. The SL-8L features a unique cam locking system that is extremely easy to use. The sandpaper is held between 2 spring loaded cams and the sandpaper slot in the drum is less than 10mm, which reduces chatter marks. Other machines have larger gaps in their drum, which means the machine has to run too fast to prevent chattering. The tilt action of the SL-8L also allows for a more controlled and even sanding. It has highly efficient dust pick up and the weight of the machine is specially designed and evenly distributed for best results. |
